Hurling

Most Valuable Players - Joe Lynch & Eamon O'Keeffe

Singapore played against a Szhenzen team in the semi final match of the inaugural 7-aside Hurling competition. Singapore had a comfortable win in this game after taking the lead from the throw in. There was some good scores from Brian McSwiney, Jon Carmody, Joe Lynch, Sean Hearne and Cian Coffey. The whole team played well in their first competitive match as a team.

The final of the Hurling completion was played between Singapore and Dubai.  The first half was close with Dubai making the most of their goal chances. The Dubai goalkeeper denied Singapore with a few superb saves, especially one shot from Sean Hearne. In the second half Dubai scored a few more goals to make sure of the victory.  Singapore fought to the end with some good scores by Joe lynch (Don’t know who else scored for us). Dubai were worthy champions.

There was a lot of positive feedback received from people who watched final and enjoyed the skills of the game.

Well done to Donnacha Rahill, Sean Duggan and Mark Crosbie for there training efforts during the year.
