The weekend opened at the Asian Civilisations Museum and players and guests were treated to the best of the Black Stuff, buffet food, music from Gan Ainm and the Opening Draw for the Games. The event was graciously hosted by Ambasáid na hEireann against the stunning back drop of Boat Quay and the City Skyline. After the event concluded at 11pm the more serious players headed off to the hotel and their leabas to prepare for the next day’s games, while the rest of the contingent walked over to Boat Quay and partied the night away at Molly Malone’s.
