This year the Ladies A Team welcomed alot of new faces and we were confident that with the return of Rania from far away shores that this might be our year!!! 
 
First up on Saturday for the Ladies was the newly formed Orang Eire Ladies team, who were comfortably beaten.  Next we played our own C team in the big derby game.   Our C Team gave us a serious run for our money but we emerged from the battle victorious in the end only to face the Shanghai A team in the afternoon sun.  Shanghai A were dispatched leaving us undefeated on Saturday.
 
Sunday morning dawned with the big showdown against Hong Kong A.  This proved to be a very tough game with notable performances in defense from Rania and Kristina after our stalwarth centre of defense, Helen was unfortunately injured.  We narrowly beat Hong Kong A to secure our place in the cup semi final. 
 
However in a de ja vous from last year it was Korea A that we met in the semi final.  After a very hard fought game, scores were level at full time and 4 minutes of extra time was ordered.  This time we went down by 2 points.  Once again a hard end to our competition.  But we settled down for the rest of the afternoon and were delighted to watch the Ladies B team bring some silverware home anyway!!!

Never mind - there is always next year and of course we mustn't forget the A team triumph in any and all Boat Races.  Our huge congratulations also go to our MVP Tessa McGovern who was recognised as an All-Star at the banquet on the Sunday night.  Well deserved.
