First game against Arabian Celts started well although TC & Brian had to acclimatise quickly after some late Fri nite 'Penang-igans'. There was also some discussion about togging out Bill Power to team up with Graham for midfield duties but it was decided to keep that ace in the pack (maybe next year).

After 2 "Ger Whiddy-like" runs up the field Gareth 'akimbo' O'Brien was forced to abdicate his goalkeeping duties - with PC winning the lottery of volunteers due to his knee-capping at the hands of Dr.Raj - despite which (or because of which) he turned in MVP performance over the tournament.

The second match against VietnamA started in much better vein and Paul Redmond gets a nod for talking his buddy Neil into taking the field resulting in well placed goal (and leading team scorer), with the Malaysian contingent of big Fred (bigger than Molinaar/Rees!!), Khalil and Daniel acquitting themselves well.

The third game against ShanghaiB saw Ruairi "don't tell my mother I'm playing Gaelic" forced to leave the field when misplaced kick to the mid-section almost had him 'leaving everything on the pitch' after recent surgery, and ultimately disrupting the well-oiled game-plan that was just starting to kick into high gear.

The Sunday playoff against Singapore D's went astray when the plan to drown a few D players in QEII on Sat night was derailed by captains delayed arrival at the pitch courtesy of police checkpoint (D team ploy ??).

After a heroic struggle the depleted E's conceded defeat to their (slightly) fitter opponent's ending this years epic contest for another season - at least until the drinking competition that evening saw victory over both A's & D's.
